Pho Mi Valencia restaurant review: Vietnamese dining in Valencia, Spain

Our honest review of dining at Pho Mi Restaurant in Central Valencia

We ate at Pho Mi twice, once in December 2025 and again in January 2026, both during casual weekday evenings with no specific occasion. We were already in central Valencia, walking the city and fitting meals around exploring rather than planning evenings around bookings. We found Pho Mi through Google while actively searching for Vietnamese food in Valencia, and strong reviews made it stand out quickly. After the first visit, we returned a few weeks later to confirm consistency before forming a clear view. This Pho Mi Valencia restaurant review reflects two paid visits focused on food quality, service, atmosphere, and whether Pho Mi genuinely works as a reliable Vietnamese restaurant in the city.

At a Glance

Pho Mi is a Vietnamese restaurant in central Valencia serving traditional and familiar dishes with consistent execution. Portions feel appropriate, flavours stay balanced, and service remains friendly and attentive. The dining room stays calm even when busy, which makes it well suited to casual dinners and repeat visits rather than one-off occasions.

About Pho Mi Restaurant Valencia

The focus here stays firmly on delicious, traditional Vietnamese cuisine, without drifting into fusion or trend-led ideas. We are avid fans of Vietnamese food, especially spring rolls, and that appreciation shapes how we judge places like this. The menu delivers familiar dishes that prioritise flavour, balance, and consistency rather than reinvention. The central Valencia location makes it easy to drop in without planning the day around the meal. Inside, the restaurant feels relaxed rather than upmarket, yet remains very clean and well put together. A steady mix of locals and visitors keeps the room lively without tipping into tourist territory. We cannot sing more praise for the friendly, attentive staff, who play a major role in making the experience feel welcoming and reliable.

Our Dining Experience at Pho Mi

We arrived without reservations and received tables without delay. Staff greeted us straight away and seated us efficiently. Communication stayed clear throughout the meal, with staff switching easily between English and Spanish. We love how smiley the staff are here, which immediately sets the tone and makes the room feel welcoming. During winter visits, staff deliberately seated us in warmer areas of the restaurant rather than near the door, which showed awareness and care without us needing to ask.

The restaurant filled up as the evening went on, yet the atmosphere stayed calm and controlled. Service pacing worked well, with starters and mains arriving separately and at sensible intervals. Staff checked in when needed and stepped back when conversation took priority. We also appreciate the simplicity of the menu, which makes ordering easy and avoids unnecessary decision fatigue. The experience felt reliable and repeatable, and we have already recommended Pho Mi Restaurant to friends living in Valencia.

Menu Highlights

The menu leans into classic Vietnamese dishes that work equally well for sharing or for straightforward individual meals, and it clearly caters to vegetarians alongside diners who prefer chicken or beef. Bo Bun options come in chicken, beef, and vegetarian versions, built around rice noodles, fresh vegetables, herbs, and protein. Each one delivers clean, balanced flavours without feeling heavy.

Pho dishes and ramen-style noodle soups sit at the heart of the menu, using rice noodles and slow-built broths that suit cooler evenings and slower meals. We have not ordered the pho yet, but they looked excellent when served to nearby tables, arriving in generous bowls with aromatic broth that immediately caught our attention. Fried wontons work well as a shared starter and add contrast without dominating the table.

Desserts finish the meal strongly and genuinely evoke being in Asia rather than feeling like an afterthought. We ordered the sticky mango rice served with warm coconut milk, which delivered exactly the comfort and sweetness we wanted. Drinks matched the food well. We chose a glass of Verdejo, a light Spanish white wine, and a warm ginger lemonade that felt especially comforting during winter visits. Access to Vietnamese food like this in Valencia feels like a real draw when the menu delivers familiar dishes with confidence.

We highly recommend you order the Nems de Cerdo. Simply divine!

Table & Setting

We sat indoors at a table for two on each visit. The restaurant offers tables for two, four, and larger groups of up to six people. Near the entrance, there is a dedicated area that can be used for private dining for at least eight people, set slightly apart from the main dining room. Tables sit close enough to keep energy in the room without feeling cramped. Lighting stays soft and functional, and noise levels remain manageable even when the restaurant fills up. Temperature felt comfortable throughout all meals.

We noticed that guests without bookings often waited near the entrance for tables to become available. Pho Mi is the type of restaurant people are willing to wait for, largely because the food and service justify it.

Facilities & services

Aside from table service, takeaway and delivery are clearly active here. We saw multiple Uber Eats delivery riders collecting orders during our visits, which reinforced how popular the food is beyond the dining room. We did not use additional facilities beyond dining service, and no seasonal closures were apparent. Toilets were clean and well maintained, which matched the overall standard of the dining space.

💡Travel Gentlemen Tip

If you’re here to dine with a group of friends or your family, book the long table near the entrace. It’s a slightly private section of the restaurant.

Prices & Value

Prices felt very reasonable for what we paid, especially given the central Valencia location. Portion sizes matched expectations, and the quality of food more than justified the cost. The experience delivered strong value without relying on oversized servings or unnecessary presentation.
